The Kranji area in the north of Singapore is one of the best places to enjoy nature. It is easily accessible and consists of places like Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve, Kranji Nature Trail, marshes around Kranji Dam and the Neo Tiew area where you can still find farms. While this area is a hotspot for nature where thousands of migrant waders stopover and where many resident birds reside including endangered species, it is constantly threathened by development. Singapore is a land scarce country but due consideration must be given to preserve this natural national treasure. For without it, we will lose the important contribution it makes to keeping our country and home a healthy place to live. This gallery does not do justice to the beauty of this special place. I hope it will encourage you to visit, enjoy Kranji and support the conservation of this natural area.
