Tanah Merah Marshes was a magical place. From what I understand, it was man made i.e. reclaimed land and then nature took its course. It became a haven for migrating birds. The reclaimation is far advanced now and the marshes have been filled in. I was introduced to it in 2001. It brings back wonderful memories of a magical and serene place that was beautiful in its own ways. I hope this gallery does the same for those who have been there and for those who have not, I hope you enjoy it too.

Good news, the tidal pond at Changi reclaimed land is still doing well and providing a feeding place for migrant waders and the resident Malaysian Plovers.
